Completion of the VISITRON Project: Innovation in Machine Vision for the Die-Making Industry

We announce the completion of the VISITRON project, an Intelligent Machine Vision System designed for defect detection and quality control in the die-making sector, with the participation of Estampaciones LEMEC, in collaboration with NUTAI and Omnielectric, under the coordination of CIAC – Clúster de la Indústria d’Automoció de Catalunya, AVIA Clúster de Automoción y Movilidad de la Comunidad Valenciana.

VISITRON Project

The main objective of the project is the industrial research of advanced machine vision techniques for their application in the quality control processes of parts. The aim is to develop a digitized methodology that optimizes the continuous improvement strategy and manufacturing, improving the use of resources, assisting the work of employees and reducing carbon emissions.

Thanks to the joint efforts of all the participating entities and the support obtained for the development of the project, significant progress was made in the research of vision, automation and robotics technologies. These advances are of great interest to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, who are required to perform strict quality controls and surface defect detection on their products.
